Joining Hands

Let’s face it: Prayer can be hard work … and we have an adversary who opposes us. Here we offer a number of ways that you and your family can more deeply participate in the Week of Prayer.

Ideas for GROUP prayer

Car Pool Prayer

Pray during your car pool to Greenhouse.

Variation: Pick a color of car that is unusual (or pick green), and every time you or one of the kids sees that color of car, offer up a prayer for Greenhouse.

STAY-N-PRAY pick-up-N-PRAY

Use the Prayer Room at Greenhouse to pray with a few other parents after you drop off your students in the morning, or before you pick them up in the afternoon. We will have prayer prompts in the prayer room for you.

Host IN YOUR HOME

Host a prayer hour in your home for your core day while your students are in class.

Reminders to Pray

Cell phone

Set a reminder on your cell phone to remind you to pray for Greenhouse.

Family members can pass around a text message during the week to remind one another to pray for Greenhouse.

Family Worship

During family worship, pray for Greenhouse.

Pray for each teacher or class when you print off homework for the week or each time your family starts a homework session.

Daily routines

Pray for the Greenhouse when you brush your teeth every day.

Take One - Leave One

Throughout the week, the wall between the faculty lounge and principal’s office will be used for exchanging sticky note prayers and praises. Anyone can write out a prayer or praise using the materials on the small table there. We invite you to post a request on the wall and to simultaneously take a post from someone else so you can pray for them at home.

Join the Prayer Team

We are looking for people who will each agree to pray for a few minutes during one class period. It is our hope that collectively the team will cover the entire week’s classes in prayer. See current sign-ups.

Prayer Activities

Get together with another Greenhouse family for a game night and pray for Greenhouse at the end.

Take a short drive after dinner with everyone in the car and pray for the Greenhouse; if you are close enough, drive by the Greenhouse.

Runners/walkers plan a Prairie Path run by Greenhouse to pray.

Play banana-grams with friends using words of prayer and blessing for Greenhouse. (Send a photo of it.)
