Week of Prayer 2024

Home Events Ways to Participate Requests & Intentions

Thursday, January 18

Morning

Thank the Lord for the Community Care Coordinators who help build community within the different core days. Pray that each Greenhouse family will feel welcomed, known and loved. (Current CCCs: Jeff & Geneva Boriss (Team Leaders), Yolo Adams, Melissa Aldana, Aimee Bent, Katie Blaser, Marta Cedeno, Lauren Cook, Sara Karsten, Jessica Kolb, Gabi Reczek, Jori Root, Courtney VanderVeen)

Pray that the Lord will bless each home school connected with Greenhouse. Pray that each household will find and maintain the appropriate balance of academic and other activities for the total well-being of the family.

Noontime

Praise God for working in and through human history, and thank Him for the gift of story. Thank the Lord for history and lit teachers who help students see the human experience from a godly worldview. Pray that they will foster meaningful discussions, skillful presentations, and personal reflections among the students.

Ask God to help students to recognize that God uses men and women of “every nation, tribe, people and language” (Rev 7:9) to accomplish His purposes, and has done so throughout history. May they recognize and use the gifts and experiences God has given them, and respect and encourage those God has given to others as they function together in a learning community.

Evening

Give thanks, and pray for several of our teachers: Becky Michel (Lit Circles, Writer Workshops), Kim Gerber (Logic Science), Matthew Dominguez (Sophomore Lit), Melissa Milford (Grammar & Logic Performing Arts), Stacie Johnson (Logic History/Lit).

Please lift up Barb Kiehn, who serves as the executive assistant for the business office, and Lanie Van Wijk who serves Help & Hope students.

Nighttime

Pray for new families who are considering Greenhouse for next school year. Pray that the open houses and campus visits will help families assess whether Greenhouse would be a good fit. Ask the Lord to bring the right combination of students to fill our classes and accomplish His purposes.
